Privacy policy

What this website collects, why we use it, who we share it with, and how to ask us about your information.

Last updated

This policy describes the Centurion Payments website at centuriontechcorp.com. It is written in plain English for a U.S. business that helps small businesses arrange payment processing. It is not legal advice. It does not replace a merchant agreement or the terms of the processor and bank that handle card payments once an account is open.

Cookies are covered in the cookie policy.

Who we are

Centurion Payments (“we,” “us,” and “our”) is the public name of Centurion Tech Corp. We run this website from West Palm Beach, Florida, and help small businesses set up card and ACH processing.

This page covers information collected on the website. It does not cover cardholder data a processor or bank holds after a merchant account is open. Those records follow the merchant agreement and that company’s own rules.

We are in the United States. If you contact us from another country, we handle your information in the United States under this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us

The contact form and the rates form ask for:

  • First and last name
  • Business email
  • Business phone
  • Job title, if you provide it
  • Company name
  • Comments, if you write any
  • Whether the message is a general inquiry or a rates request

We add a subject line and a label that the message came from this website, so we can tell those two kinds of messages apart. Please do not put payment card numbers, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or copies of identification in the comments. A merchant application, if you choose to open an account, is handled on the processor’s own forms.

Server logs

Cloudflare hosts this website. When you load a page, Cloudflare may keep a technical log of the connection: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the date and time, and the referring site if your browser sends one.

Captcha and spam checks

When the form is sent through our form service, Web3Forms, the page loads hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) and asks you to complete it before the message sends. hCaptcha may process your IP address, browser data, and how you interact with the check, so it can tell a person from a bot.

The form also includes fields that are hidden from people and meant for bots. In that same mode we decline an email address that is not valid, or that comes from a disposable email service, and we decline a name that includes a link, an emoji, or promotional wording. A company name or a comment may include a link. Those checks run in your browser before the form is sent. A message that fails them is not delivered to us.

If the form service is not connected, choosing send opens an email draft in the email program on your device. The message is sent only if you send it. The captcha and the checks above are not used in that case.

Analytics, if you allow it

Google Analytics 4 loads only when a measurement ID is configured and you have accepted analytics cookies on this browser. It does not load if you decline, or if that ID is absent. When it loads, Google receives usage information such as pages viewed, general location, and device type. See the cookie policy for the banner and the cookies that involves.

What this site does not collect

There is no account on this marketing site, and there is no sign-in. We do not ask you to create a password here.

How we use it

We use the information above to:

  • Reply to your message or prepare a rates conversation
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the website
  • Block spam and abuse
  • See which pages are useful, if you have accepted analytics cookies
  • Keep ordinary business records of inquiries
  • Respond to a legal request that applies to us

We use what you send to respond to that inquiry and to talk about processing for your business. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build an advertising audience.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only in the ways below.

Email delivery

When the form is connected to Web3Forms, that service receives the submission and emails it to our team so we can reply. Web3Forms’ privacy notice is on their website. If the form opens an email draft instead, delivery is through the email program on your device, and only if you send it.

Hosting

Cloudflare processes connection data to deliver the site, cache content, and block abuse. Cloudflare’s privacy notice is on their website.

Captcha

When the form uses hCaptcha, Intuition Machines processes the check described above. Their privacy notice is on the hCaptcha website.

Analytics

If you accept analytics cookies and Google Analytics is configured, Google receives the usage information described above. If you decline, or analytics is not configured, we do not send that information to Google. Google’s privacy policy is on their website.

Processors, banks, and setup partners

If you ask us to set up payment processing, we share the business and contact details needed to underwrite and board the account with the payment processor, the acquiring bank, and the software or equipment providers that account will use. Their use of that information is covered by your merchant agreement and by their own notices.

Legal reasons and business changes

We may share information if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse of this website. If the business is sold or reorganized, inquiry records may go with it. We would still expect them to be used for the purposes in this policy.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry records for as long as we need them to answer you, to continue a conversation about rates, and to keep ordinary business records. We then delete them or remove the details that identify you. Hosting and security logs are kept for a shorter time, on our host’s schedule, for troubleshooting and to block abuse.

Records a processor or bank holds after an account is open follow the merchant agreement and card-network rules. This policy does not control those records.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiry messages is limited to people who need them to respond to you. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure. If you believe information you sent through this site has been exposed, call (888) 615-1728.

Children’s privacy

This website is for business owners and their staff. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Privacy rights in California and other states

Some U.S. states give residents rights over personal information. California’s law is the best known. Depending on the state, those rights can include asking what we hold, asking us to correct or delete it, and opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Other states have similar rules.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To make a request, call us, write to the address on this page, or use the contact form and put “Privacy request” in the comments. We may ask for enough information to confirm we are responding to the right person, or to someone allowed to act for them. We will not charge a different price, refuse a conversation, or offer a lower level of service because you asked.

We will answer within the time the law that applies to you requires. If no deadline applies, we aim to answer within 45 days.

This is a plain-language summary. It is not a statement that every state law applies to this business. Where a law does apply, we will honor the rights it gives you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or our practices change. The date at the top is the current version. The new version applies from that date. Check this page when you come back.
